The digital problem is not the same in every sector

A workshop selling one-off pieces, a restaurant with sixty covers and a practice with a full diary have only one thing in common: the website. Everything else is a different set of priorities, and that is where you should start.

Three sectors, three orders of priority

We chose to go deeper on these three because they are the ones we work in most often, and the ones where the wrong decisions cost the most.

01

Craft trade and manufacturing

Products that photograph well, technical sheets that sell. The bottleneck is usually the catalogue: who updates it, how often, and how it gets online without redoing everything by hand.

02

Restaurants

Menu, bookings, Google profile and reviews. The website matters less than it did ten years ago, but it still matters for the decisions people make before leaving the house.

03

Professionals and practices

Trust, competence and confidentiality. The visitor is deciding whether to hand you a delicate problem: the site has to answer before the phone call happens.

Why pages per sector, and not per city

Sector pages are useful because the questions change: someone looking for a website for a jewellery workshop wants to know how a one-off piece is photographed, someone looking for a practice website wants to know how client data stays confidential. Those are real needs, and they deserve different answers.

City pages are a different thing altogether. Thirty identical pages with the city name swapped out help nobody: they add no information, they answer no question, and Google treats them as pages built only for the search engine. If you work in one territory, it is the contact page with the right details that does that job.

That is why you will not find "websites for craftsmen in Milan" and "websites for craftsmen in Turin" here. You will find what a craftsman needs, wherever the workbench happens to be.

Your sector is not one of these?

That is not a problem: the three pages describe the most frequent cases, not every possible one. Write and tell us what you do, and we will say whether we can be useful, without dancing around it.
